This whole section is based upon our Excel Add-Ins shareware such as the Merge software tools; the process is similar for the other software we offer - simply follow the instructions given for those. Eg for Auto Numbering use the button supplied (or Tools | Macros).

For most of our software simply click on 'License' at the bottom of the main screen, and you will be prompted to enter the details you were emailed as below.

1. Enter the details you were sent when you purchased your license in the 2 screens that follow (NB they are case sensitive):

Tip: We recommend you use Ctrl+C to copy and Ctrl+V to paste the details in, but be careful only to copy the actual text without spaces at either end.

For most of our software this will be your name or your company's name, possibly abbreviated and slightly altered. It will NOT be your email address or the ShareIt user id.

For most of our software this will look something like: AMYCG1-HV53FW-YT5C4X-FHSQJW-HT56ED-JYGW4R

2. You should then see the confirmation message with your details:

Click OK and you are finished.

FAQ's

  • I have just purchased a multi-user license (ie a license for several users) but only received one license number. Is that right, and should I use the same number on all the PC's?

    Answer: Yes that is right and you should. The license number you received contains encrypted information that records the number of users covered by that license, and the number of licensed users can be seen in the 'About' screen within most of our products.
     
  • How do I renew my license? Do I just click on "Buy"? Do you need to know my current license no?

    Answer: To renew you simply visit our site and buy a new license. At the same time you should upgrade by downloading the latest version if you are not already running it.

 


Trouble-shooting

If the confirmation screen does not appear,

  1. Are you sure you are trying to put the license details into the correct product? (I know it sounds obvious, but it's amazing how often this occurs - for example Label Merge license details being entered into Mail Merge.)
  2. Have you downloaded the latest version of our software? Some new licensing will not work in earlier versions and vice-versa. (In most cases we will give you a free upgrade - check the product page for details.)
  3. Are you sure you are using the Username supplied with the license number? Your username is not your email address, and is not the username sent to you by ShareIt! for accessing your account with them.
  4. If you copy and paste in the details make sure you have not included extra spaces on the end, and make sure you haven't inadvertently cut off any last characters either.
  5. Try one more time (in case you mistyped) and then check whether you have mistaken a lower-case L (letter l) for a number one (digit 1), or vice-versa. That is why we recommend you copy and paste in your license details - normally you can use Ctrl+C / Ctrl+Insert for copy and Ctrl+V / Shift+Insert for paste.
