PATools Support - Buying
To buy a license you simply click on the link on each page which will open a new window at our payment partner's site. You can then choose a currency and means by which to pay from the options presented to you, and enter your personal or company details. This information is not shared with anybody outside PATools, and neither will we bombard you with unwanted emails. We may send out the very occasional newsletter and that is all. You will then be sent a username and license number which you can enter into our software to remove the evaluation restrictions. You will not be sent any new files or programs. License details (username and license number) are sent by return email - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
The legal bit in 'user-friendly' terms When you download and evaluate our software you are (quite legally) making a copy of our property on your machine, and doing so under evaluation license from PATools. The terms of that license are as explained in our Don't worry - the terms are very much industry standard, and basically state that you will use our software legally and we do not carry any responsibility for how you use it. If you find the software suits you, you then buy a full license which allows you to use it without any of the evaluation restrictions for the period of time that the license covers (some are annual, some are for ever). The terms of the license are the same as previously (the EULA). Thus the software is still legally our property, but you buy the right to use it.
Normally you will receive your license details by return email within 5 to 20 minutes of purchasing, sometimes even less. On very rare occasions it can take up to 24 hours for our payment partners share-it! to process a credit card transaction due to the anti-fraud screening measures being applied. If you do not receive your licensing details within 24 hours please contact us. In the meantime you can check out the share-it! customer care centre or log in to your account at share-it! here.
